North West Funkateer
Abi has been dancing and performing since the age of ten and has a huge passion for dance and the performing arts. Abi has trained in many styles including ballet, contemporary, street and now capoeira; a martial arts dance.
Whilst studying at a local dance academy, Abi found her love for teaching. Her passion and enthusiasm led to her teaching full time at the school in between study.
Teaching at the academy in a variety of styles to many age groups, choreographing the shows for the annual main stage productions.
Abi studied A-level dance and drama, performing in many physical theatre performances and taking the role of choreographer in main stage productions throughout her time at the college.
Carrying on with her study at the University of Huddersfield, Abi studied her degree in performance which has led to touring two shows around the region, performing contemporary dance and physical theatre. Her teaching was an integral part of her degree, teaching in many theatres as a creative performance facilitator producing and directing dance and drama performances for children and adults.
Abi is now excited to share her passion and experience at Funky Feet Dance Parties and Workshops across the region in addition to the regular Funky Feet Dance Classes that she teaches at locally.
